A. Stay away from Cash Create and other survey Web sites! It's a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness. If you choose to get suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

Q. I was wondering what type of jobs were available with a Human Resources Management Degree (Bachelors or M.B.A) after right after graduation? In other words what are some entry level jobs that may be available or that are most common with this degree. Also is there room for advancement in these jobs and if so, how long will it take and what must I do in oder to advance further in a career in Human Resources Management. Thank you for your answers.

A. I've been working in HR for about 20 years. HR is a great field, but right now, it's pretty flooded, so it's tough to break in. With a BA in HR, you would start as entry level management, but there's a large administrative component to it. Most people think that HR is mostly dealing with people, while in most cases, it's less than half of the job. A lot of time is spent pushing paper or processing information (they never seem to tell you that in school). While you're in school, try to get a part time/summer job or internship in an HR department, even in the school. If you're good, you can move up, but a lot will depend on the type of organization that you work for and how well they do in this economy. Don't go get a master's… [cont.]

What are the jobs that female marines are able to get that are closest to combat?
Q. I'm going to MEPS in two weeks, I still don't know what job I'm eligible for. I got a 62 on the asvab. I know women cant have infantry or artillery jobs but what are the jobs closest to an infantry job that as a female I can see myself asking for?
Asked by NYC truly never sleeps:D - Sat Apr 10 19:48:39 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. There is no job like the one you ask for. There are no jobs that are "close" to infantry or "kinda" like infantry. Infantry handles all the infantry type duties. Think about this: You enlist as a cook. While going from point A to point B in a convoy you get attacked. You now see action and must defend yourself. Very often it is where you end up and it is what your unit's mission is that dictates if you go out and see any sort of action. So me telling you what job may get you "out of the wire" does you no good unless you actually went to a unit that leaves the wire. Just pick a job you want to do and stop looking for action. You may want to see action, but I promise you that you don't.

What jobs would be beneficial for my future as an educational administrator?
Q. I'm interested in pursuing a degree in education, I'd like to work as an "Educational Administrator". While I'm getting my degree though, what kind of jobs should I apply for. Most teach for several years before moving up the ladder. There are few entry level jobs as an adminisrator. What jobs are most easily available to someone with a degree?
Q. I'm about to start studying for a degree and I realise that once you've graduated you can specialise in a job suited to your degree but what are the most common jobs for graduates? I've been trying to read up but it's all rather confusing. It seems many people who graduate end up in jobs quite unrelated to their degree. I really don't know what I want to do in the end so I'm hoping for some good suggestions. I'm doing life sciences by the way.

What jobs can i apply for with an estheticians certificate?
Q. Im studding to get my esthetician's certificate but, the reccesion is starting to scare me what jobs can i apply for with it? I want to be an esthetician but will it be hard to get a job? A. you would definately have an edge at a makeup counter, skin care store, or beauty supply store, or even salon receptionist. Outside of being an esthetician (waxing, facials, etc.) your license does not apply. I would look into makeup artistry. You don't require a license and no one is better suited for it than a licensed esthetician. You could also find a specialty like eyelash extensions, also no license required ( just a certification in some cases). If you decided to train for 7 more months you could get a cosmetology license which gives you a more broad range. It covers not only an estheticians license but also a nail techs license plus hair of course. Oh and for just a hundred hours or so you could be certified for swedish… [cont.]

A. We have protected classes (race, age, sex, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, religion) here in the US, so if you fire someone or do not hire them based on their membership in these classes then you are subject to major fines and other disciplinary actions from the government. Also, you can fire who you like but if the employee can prove it was for an illegal reason (such as they are a member of a protected class or they would not perform sexual favors for a boss) the fired employee can sue for big time cash.

A. well you could be a veterenarian which requires 12 years of college. but thats a head vet so thats like top dog. or, you could be a vets assistant which takes four years and id say is more fun because you get to help out instead of doing everything. you could start your own animal shelter. or you could work at a zoo. the possibilities are endless and i cant list them all. if you wanna get really serious, talk to someone at the spca about the different careers in the animal feild. make sure that you are sure you can be comitted to animals because if you start, its not fair to them that you stop.

Q. Not a doctor, a nurse, or anything that requires a degree. I'm starting college in a couple of weeks and people have told me to get jobs at a hospital. I don't have any "medical experience" so I was wondering what other jobs there are that a high school graduate can do. Are they diffucult and strict? Thanks in advance.

A. You could work in the dietary department, or as a file clerk, you could also work as a unit clerk. I'm not sure what you mean by strict- you can't call in sick or be more that 7 minutes late a lot. Where I work you can be late more than 7 minutes or call in sick 10 times during your employment before you get fired. I think that is a little too relaxed.

A. Hi, I'm currently studying a BSc in Psychology with the hope of becoming a Clinical Psychologist. What I need to do afterwards is get a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Being a Clinical Psychologist is probably the most well known job in this field. You earn a lot because you'll essentially be a doctor without an MD, therefore you can't prescribe medication.

Q. I am a big fan of all games which are strategy and invole thinking outside the box to overcome your opponent. I know there are jobs in the military that involve this but i dont know what they are. I would also like to know any other jobs that involve strategy or tactician. Thanks for the help.

A. Don't bother trying to find out because you will never get there if all you care about is games when it comes to war. War is not a game, nor is strategic or tactical planning. On topic, Generals and Politicians handle the strategic side of war. It takes usually 25-30 years of experience at least to reach these positions. NCO's and Officers handle the small unit tactics. NCO's take a few years, Officers can take a few years or good results in certain military colleges.

What types of jobs are available in the video game industry?
Q. Are they similar to jobs in other media industries? How does one break into the field? I'm interesting in switching jobs (currently in business services) and have a passion for VG, but not sure what types of jobs are out there and how I can fit in.

A. There are four basic areas of a game development team: design, programming, art, and level building, which are supported by production, Quality Assurance, customer service, sound design, marketing, business development, etc. Designers write up the details of every tiny aspect of the game and come up with the math to support it. Programmers take the written details from the designers and implement it using programming languages like C++ and/or in-house tools. Artists create the 3D art, animations, textures, etc for everything in the game. And level builders take assets created by the artists and create the physical layout of the world. Producers manage the entire project and keep everyone on schedule and on budget. Quality Assurance… [cont.]
