A. I am not familiar with Vista, but locate your C: drive , open it, look for Program Files folder. Open that folder and see if you can locate the Ares folder. Open that to see if there is an uninstall file within it. I am also including a website I found with other information on it as well. Hope that helps.

A. you can delete it from control panel add/remove programs.or you can delete the folder containing those files.but what you should know is that you can't delete all the files because some of the fies are replaced to the .dll files of windows.but I think there's a way you can delete them and it's system restore.it helps you to go back to the date that you hadn't installed that software. go to control pannel and find the help&support center and search ''system restore''.there is enough information that can help you to create a restore point.

Is there anyway to check what programs are currently running on my Blackberry Pearl?
Q. I just recently got a Blackberry Pearl from T-Mobile. After reading some things online, I saw some people saying things about having open programs on their Blackberry Curves, and other Blackberry models and how to check if there are any programs running. But I never have seen anything about BlackBerry Pearls. Do programs automatically close when you hit the back button when you're in a program? Or are they minimized? And if they are minimized how can I see what programs are running, and how to close them?
Asked by rhavec - Wed Jul 2 21:08:47 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. To see what programs are running, you need to press and hold down the ALT key, then press the escape key (located immediately to the right of the track ball). This will show the running programs. In order to properly exit most times you need to press the menu key while in the program, then chose Exit or Close.

A. I use Logbook Pro ( Its reporting capabilities are great. Even with my electronic copy, I keep a printout of my logbook as well. Logbook Pro has a report that will print out the pages in the exact format of a Jeppesen logbook. If you want an official looking logbook, they sell binders and pages, but it's pretty expensive. I did it anyway because it looks really professional. You also need somewhere to keep your endorsements. Yes, the electronic log is credible. If you lose a logbook, you are allowed to reconstruct it using anything you have available: flight receipts, previous 8710 forms, etc. Just provide a signed statement stating how you reconstructed the hours and that you did not falsify any of your flight experience. What happens to saved programs after tivo service is turned off?
Q. Hey everyone, I am just wondering if anyone knows what happens to saved programs once the tivo service is disconnected (canceled). I have all the programs saved as, "Save until I delete." We are moving and so I am going to disconnect service and maybe start it up again in about 5-6 months. But I am mainly curious as to the programs I have currently saved on the system. Also will the system let me watch them even if the service is disconnected ? Has anyone ever tried this, or knows for sure what happens?! ...Thx.

Is there a program that can backup installed programs?
Q. I need a program that can backup and restore other programs that have already been installed. I no longer have the installer for those programs, and I cannot seem to find those programs. Could anyone give me a link to some software (Preferrably free) that enables me to either backup programs that were installed or repackage programs that were installed into one installer? Thanks in advanced!

A. I'm sorry, but I don't think that what you ask is possible. I make it a habit to keep the installers for any programs I download in a file on the desktop. It uses up some extra memory, but has proved useful on more than one occasion.

Q. I have been on some job interviews where they have asked if I have knowledge of a particular computer program, and at times it varies. What programs should one be familiar with to excel in the workplace and land a job? Feel free to list the programs you use in your work place.
Asked by Chris - Wed Oct 28 01:52:34 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. As previously mentioned, it depends on the type of job. A couple examples: Office jobs, all of Microsoft office suite would be helpful to know. Excel (spreadsheets), Powerpoint (presentations), Word (documents), Outlook (emails). Acccounant: Microsoft Office Excel and Quickbooks for sure. However, if design jobs are more your interest, Microsoft office won't be much use (they are more office jobs). For these you would need design programs such as: Adobe Suite, including, but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, InDesign, After Effects

A. Did a search and found "K9 Web Protection" ... free version for home users... guess they make $ from corporate customers... Nothing will be perfect, but sounds like this one has a pretty comprehensive black-list. You may find it annoying if it blocks legitimate stuff and you are always having to type in a bypass password... Good luck!

How do I install programs from an external hard drive onto my computer's hard drive?
Q. I saved a ton of programs such as Microsoft Works onto an external hard drive from my old computer, and now I want to install those programs onto my new computer. All the programs are compatible with my new computer, I just want to know how to install them from the external hard drive onto my new computer. Does anyone know how to do this?
Asked by John - Sun Mar 29 06:07:21 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. So what your telling me is that you took the folder Program Files from your Old computer stuck it on your external HDD and want to run them on your new computer. Or are you telling me that you actualy have the installtion files? If you are referring to the first option, this is not possible to do. You cant copy over folders/programs from one computer to another as this well/ windows doesnt work that way. When you install a program there alot more files installed elsewhere, hidden, such as registry files that you will no longer have that are required. The only way to solve this is to install from the setup.exe files you have of the original programs and install them brand new on the new computer. Cheers AR
